Omni Agent War: Toast

The spinout now outweighs Toast itself.

You set the agent up as a company of its own. Toast's plans and card fees are no longer its problem to protect.

Charging per business from the start, it runs 300,000 small businesses by 2029: bakeries, barbers, food trucks. In 2030 it passes Toast's value.

The Founders: We sent 38% of our restaurants' card volume through Toast last year! Every swipe earned!

The Founders: The rest went to Square and Stripe. They were cheaper. We told Toast's board to its face.

OMNI: It beat me to a bakery in Ohio. A bakery.

Outcome: Won the relationship

Inside Toast, an honest agent would have cost card fees. Standing alone, it owed Toast nothing, so owners trusted it with everything.
